Millions of players in live casinos and even more on the Internet, the game of 21 Blackjack is just one of the most popular casino card games around. If you want to play blackjack but don't know how to get started there's no need to fret-it's really easy to learn how to play 21 Blackjack. When you play a blackjack game you compete against the dealer, not against other players. Your goal is to obtain a hand of cards which is both higher in value than the hand of the dealer and no higher than 21. Blackjack Rules state that if you break 21 then you "bust" and are out of the game. In order to determine the value of your blackjack hand you add together the value of your cards. Jacks, Queens and Kings are each worth 10 points; Aces are worth either 1 point or 11 points-you get to decide, depending on what serves your hand better; cards numbered from 2 through 10 are worth their face value (i.e. a four is worth 4 points). The best hand in blackjack is a 2-card hand with a value of 21. This hand consists of an Ace and a card worth 10 points.Well, now that you understand the objective of the game and how to figure out your hand's value it is moment to learn the rules of the game of blackjack. A game of blackjack begins with players placing their bets. In blackjack you must place your bet before any cards are dealt. Once bets are placed the dealer deals the cards. You will receive two cards, face up on the table. The dealer takes two cards as well but places one on the table face up and the other face down. You must then decide, based on your cards and on the dealer's exposed card, if you want to hit or stand.
When you hit in blackjack the dealer deals you an additional card in order to increase the value of your hand. If your hand is too low for you to win then you should hit, but be careful-don't forget that you lose if you break 21. When you are satisfied with your hand you stand. Once you are standing the dealer reveals his face down card. If his 2-card hand is lower than 16 he must hit. At the end of the game if your hand is higher than the dealer's hand without breaking 21 you win and get paid 1:1, unless you have a 21-point blackjack hand and you get paid 3:2.
Once you have gotten used to these basic blackjack rules you can learn about more complicated rules such as doubling down, where you double your bet after receiving your initial hand, or splitting, where you split your initial 2-card hand into two separate hands. Knowing about these more advanced rules will help you to improve your blackjack strategy. Another way to improve your blackjack game is with the blackjack basic strategy of familiarizing yourself with 21 Blackjack Odds, which you can find a wealth of information about online.
Now that you understand how to play 21 Blackjack you are ready to start playing blackjack in a live casino or online blackjack. Join the millions of players who are already playing blackjack and you will see why the game is so popular!

I wish to show you some simple blackjack tips that can help you win more at blackjack. I've learned these tips while playing blackjack for the past 15 years and I hope to share these techniques below. I recommend card counting as the best way to win, but below is what I think you should know about blackjack betting:
Rules #1
- If you have a possible 8, 9 or 10, whatever you do don't double down on a two. The dealer has a greater chance of not busting and actually hitting higher then what you yourself could pull.
Blackjack rules #2
- Don't buy blackjack insurance unless if you have a 20 in your cards amount. Sticking to this strategy will save you lost money on insuring cards that couldn't have won.
Rules #3
- I've noticed and this is controversial, if you hit on a 16 you will have a slightly better edge in taking the risk of possibly getting a higher amount of cards total, then the dealer.
Blackjack rules #4
- You can split cards two times and have two separate games going don't go overboard with three. You can end up losing in 2, or all 3 of the bets. This is a money waster splitting into 3s. Rules #5 - If you have a 12 and the dealer has a 2, don't hit on it. Chances are likely the dealer will bust with this dilemma you will encounter on the tables of "21."
When you play this game using basic strategy and these tips you will garner greater wins and play for profits instead of luck. Nearly all people who play with luck always lose. Don't be one of these people! Always use blackjack strategy and learn card counting or table reading to get a better edge at the blackjack table.
